Rhodes, also called The Island of the Knights, is the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands and also its capital. The main city is Rhodes, a mix of old and new, often compared to Jerusalem, a real historic gem with its first origin in 408 B.C.
The green hills and valleys, golden beaches, archeological and cultural sites and an island so full of history make Rhodes a place that worth to be visited.

Aici am petrecut una din cele mai frumoase vacante, împreună cu cele mai bune prietene, si intr-adevar ai absolut de toate pentru o vacanta la mare: plaja mare cu de toate si nisip ok, shopping in zona tanara a orasului cu foarte multe magazine mari ale retailerilor cunoscuti, cluburi si terase excelente cu puls si muzica tinereasca, asezare medievală unică in old city, cu taverne, stradute inguste, muzica mai spre manea, bazar si o cetate superba cu port pentru nave de croaziera huge, si nu in ultimul rand, un parc cu o vegetatie extraordinara, in ciuda soarelui care putea incalzi zi de zi Lindos la peste 40*C. Am avut cazare chiar in nord la confluența de 50 de m de uscat usor ascutit unde se întâlnesc agitata M.Egee cu briza bine intrata-n rol, vânt si valuri semnificative, chiar deranjante uneori, si dincolo usor spre NE spre port, unde M. Mediterana e linistita si batranicioasa ca un ocean, fara briză si valuri, dar si greu de suportat căldurile infernale de la prânz! In turul de insula ne-am oprit la Lindos, si ne-am întors pe cont propriu cu transportul in comun. Lindos a fost unul din locurile vizitate din viata mea, cand am crezut că voi lesină de caldura. Pe primul loc ă fost Egipt-Valea regilor!
